Threat from Baitullah Mahsood

Baitullah Mahsud, the leader of Pakistan's Taliban movement, threatened Tuesday to launch attacks in the United States in retaliation for missile strikes by American drones aimed at militant leaders sheltering in Pakistan's tribal areas. In Washington, intelligence officials downplayed Mahsud's threats, describing them as attention-grabbing assertions from a militant whose network does not extend beyond the region around Pakistan.
This is just not a threat by a taliban leader to a USA. It is a signal for Pakistan as it will surely provide an excuse to US to operate in pakistani territory. US president and Army personals have already pointed towards Pakistan for instability in afghanistan. Barak Obama clearly said that now they have to monitor Pakistan to control afghanistan.

Munawan Attack : How many terrorists arrested?

Two days has been past and yet its not clear that how many terrorists attack the building and how many got captured. There are various reports, various stats about all that incident. Some tv channel said that four of them blown themselves and 3-4 are arrested. There are also rumors that just one of them is arrested and other got escaped. TV channels just shown the Afghani person, that was arrested from the surrounding of the police academy. He pointed many other linked person. These rumors take place as media wasnt allowed to go to the school after taking over. there are two possiblities, to keep all that in secret that whom is being arrested and whom is killed to keep the other companions of terrorist in dark. There is another possibility that rumors are true that terrorist succeded in escaping. If some one of you know any right side of the picture, please do tell me.

Shehbaz Sharif is restored as CM.

Mian Shahbaz Sharif has been restored as Chief Minister of Punjab immediately following the issuance of the stay order. Today The Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued a stay order on Tuesday against the disqualification of Pakistan Muslim League-N President Mian Shahbaz Sharif. The apex court bench, headed by Justice Tassaduq Jilani, heard Sharif brothers eligibility case. According to the verdict, till the apex court’s hearing and decision into Sharifs’ case, Shahbaz Sharif would continue serving as chief minister Punjab. and Governer Rule is finally lifted. Just in a month of Governer Rule, two terrorist attacks were launched in lahore targetting police. nearly 20 young police men died in these attacks leaving behing many crying eyes.

Punjab Assembly session of April Fool day

Just got a news, Session of P.A is called on Ist April,09. This day is well known as April Fool. :). Well choosen day to call the session. Altough every thing going on now a days is a joke. Elections, Long March, Governer Raj, Drone Attacks, oil prices, economy. Simply every things in this country is a joke in the eyes of poor AWAM. Now this date has confirmed that all this is a joke.

Attacks at Police academy : Munawan, Lahore

Today, 31/3/2009, another dark day in the history of Pakistan. During the traning session of young police men, some armed people jumped into the training academy and throwed a hand grenade on to the recruits causing 10-15 dead. After this they started firing in all direction and injured many people. After that they make hostage, nearly 800 trainees. A lot of police, rangers, Elite forces and commandos surrounded the area and after a lot of struggle they have successfully took over the building. Till now, situation is not clear but it seems that all of the terrorist nearly all of them have been arrested.

Arrests : Attacks on Sri lankan

Senior police intelligence officers had earlier briefed Pakistan's Urdu-language newspapers, claiming that four of the gunmen had been seized and arrested close to Lahore's colonial Cantonment neighbourhood. The claim followed police raids throughout the city in which dozens were seized in possession of machine guns, pistols, grenades and suicide vests at a number of private hostels. The seizures included food supplies, indicating the gunmen had planned a long siege. Detectives hunting for the terrorists had earlier issued a 'First Incident Report' which blamed 12 unidentified gunmen for the attack which left the country more isolated than ever further as a dangerous destination and a terrorist haven.

CCTV's also showed some new clips and terrorists in action. One thing, which resembles in Lahore and Mombai attacks is the satisfaction, perfection and confidence of attackers. They seems to be aware of every situation. Alhtough it also seems that they didnt get what they planned for, but they have made Pakistan a dispute territory for Cricket.

Attack on Sri Lankan Team

Today morning, Sri lankan team is attacked by armed personals. 5 police men gave their lives to save the guest team. Alhough some of the Sri Lankan players are injured but non of them is seriously hurt. Till now, no one has took the responsibility of the attacks. Unfortunately, Pakistani govt didnt said immediately after the attacks that India is involved as they did on mumbai attacks. Pakistani officials said about 12 gunmen were involved and grenades and rocket launchers have been recovered. Officials said the incident bore the hallmarks of deadly attacks in Mumbai in India last November.
